Person Centered Counselling in Action

Been reading another counselling book. Rather than read a book the whole way through before starting another have several on the go. Latest one, which I find very interesting, is "Person Centered Counselling in Action". It complements the books of Carl Rogers previously read. At some point will need to decide if a particular "theory" should be embraced above another. At the moment I lean more and more towards "Person Centered". The concepts of "congruence or genuineness, acceptance and empathy" are a comfortable fit for my self. There isn't the time right now to elaborate, but the idea of NOT being an expert, in the sense of not diagnosing problems, but being there for the person to allow them to find themselves and to help them take responsibility for their lives seems appealing. It may seem like a cop out to some but reading the above book I'm inclined to support that view. When more time is available I'll detail the points here.
