Yesterday was interesting in handing in my journal. I had mine all printed out (mainly this blog) and in the car ready. Just before leaving work had a phone call, saying that, Grace, my son's corn snake needed urgent attention at the vet. So I get home pick up the snake, drive to the vet and all is not too bad, then by the time I get home it's nearly seven, when I should have already been at the counselling class. Leave to take T to a youth activity. By the time I get to the class it's seven fifteen and J who had come in to view the journals had left!! Anyway, the other J who teaches the class was able to look over it and say it was all fine.

Question raised from the psycho-dynamic perspective is was all the delay caused by the vet appointment, "acting out" due to worry over the journal not being good enough? The concept is that if we don't want to do something or if there is something we'd rather avoid, things will come up that will prevent us, even in a legitimate way, of giving attention to that thing we want to avoid. Unconscious interventions :)

Appreciate your thoughts. I believe you're the first person to make a comment on the blog so far :) I see that 'Person Centred Consultancies' is in High Wycombe where BCUC is that I'm starting the Diploma in Counselling this coming September.
